Meet Amber Thompson, Executive Assistant to the CEO and Senior Management at Prowers Medical Center. Amber has been a valued member of the PMC team for five years, supporting senior leadership and ensuring smooth communication across departments.

Her day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating executive travel, maintaining the hospital’s state license, managing liability insurance data, and serving on several in-house teams that meet weekly. Amber thrives on the variety of her role and takes pride in helping others and representing PMC in the broader community.

“I thoroughly enjoy my colleagues and the work I do every day,” Amber shared. “I’m proud to say I work at the best critical access hospital in the state!”

Outside of work, Amber enjoys spending time with her husband, Dean, and their two college-aged daughters, Maddie and Brooke. She’s passionate about running, hiking, horseback riding, lifting weights, and traveling with family and friends. Amber is also deeply involved in Wiley United Methodist Church, where she’s served as a liturgist, worship leader, Sunday school teacher, and more.
