In today’s uncertain times, many of us become concerned about our future and our families. In the world of healthcare, our commitment is to provide safe and reliable care to our patients. It is equally important to take the time to slow down, reflect, and recognize how rewarding our careers are, despite the stress and frustration that can occur during these challenging times in healthcare, both in our state and our country.

As 2021 comes to a close, it is the optimal time for us to show our team members how much we appreciate their service to Prowers Medical Center and the patients we serve. It is also a time for us as an organization to reflect on our accomplishments and acknowledge efforts that have resulted in meaningful collaboration. Through recognition and appreciation of not only those who provide compassionate, quality health care but also of those who continue to support us, we can maintain positive momentum moving forward.

Without a doubt, health care is in the midst of significant fundamental changes. As health care professionals, we have been at the forefront of this extreme transformation with an environment that is highly charged and complex. Over the course of the last 22 months, we have been given opportunities to serve our community in ways we never could have imagined. While we had to adjust the way we provided care to our patients, we strived to continue to meet the health care needs of the community in the safest manner possible. For the most part, our destination remains clear but continued uncertainties within the industry requires us to ensure that our focus is to provide exceptional care in an exceptional way to every patient.

It’s not always easy, but through it all our team members never settle for “good enough.” Their expectations are to always do better. Providing better outcomes, better patient experiences, better safety. Putting patients first is their primary goal. They understand that we are a team – a health care family – and we are in this together for the patient. Our purpose is bigger than ourselves.

Despite frequent hurdles, the team at Prowers Medical Center demonstrates a passion and commitment to provide the best possible patient experience for anyone who walks through our doors. We see and hear firsthand each day how our team members rally around each other, patients and their families, in groups and individually, to offer support through trying times.

The work we do in health care is profound and distinguishes us, but it’s the small things we do every day that ultimately define us.

To our team members: Thank you for your passion to care for others. You provide patients with comfort during their most vulnerable moments, and you demonstrate incredible strength, courage and professionalism. This comes naturally to so many of you as it’s simply part of who you are – and for that I am incredibly proud.

To our community: Thank you for trusting us to provide you with quality, compassionate care. We recognize you have a choice in where you receive your health care. We are extremely grateful that you choose us.
