IMAGING SERVICES

The Imaging Department at Prowers Medical Center is pleased to offer some of the most technically advanced imaging equipment in Southeastern Colorado. Our wide array imaging services help your doctor to better plan your care.

Services:

Radiology and fluoroscopy

CT scanning - 32 slice

Ultrasound with 3D - 4D imaging

Echocardiography

Nuclear Medicine

Radiology/X-Ray

Digital Mammography (we use mammo-pads)

Bone density (axial DXA)

Scheduling Exams:
We suggest that you call the Imaging Department at (719) 336-6762 to schedule your exams. Many of our procedures require special preparations. The preps may include fasting for 6 - 12 hours, laxatives, or filling your bladder.

Performing and Reading your Images:
15 Radiologists from Radiology and Imaging Consultants in Colorado Springs are available to read your images and all procedures are performed by Registered technologists. A Radiologist is on-site one day a week to perform and interpret specialized procedures.

All images (including mammography) are sent to Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs via a private internet connection, and results are communicated to your local provider.
