To assist Self Pay patients by reducing their costs through a discount of services and increase cash collections by offering incentives for early payment. POLICY A Self-Pay patient is one who is responsible, either personally or through a guarantor, for the payment of all of the charges assessed for services provided to the patient. Any patient meeting the above definition of a self pay patient will be given a 40% discount on charges if payment for those charges is made within 30 days of the original statement date. A 20% discount will be given for charges if payment is made within 60 days of the original statement date. No discounts will be given to insured patients.
