Prowers Medical Center is owned and operated by the Prowers County Hospital District. The hospital is governed by a board of directors elected by the citizens who reside in the hospital district (Prowers and Baca Counties). Although the hospital receives tax support from the hospital district, in order to maintain our high quality state-of-the-art healthcare services, the hospital is dependent upon revenue from providing patient services and contributions to the Prowers Medical Center Foundation. Our greatest asset is our people. We have assembled a dedicated staff of highly qualified healthcare professionals to meet the needs of our patients.
