Prowers Medical Center Auxiliary

Established in 1954 as the charitable arm of the hospital, Prowers Medical Center’s Auxiliary raises money from the community to support programs that make health services, programs and education available to people in our surrounding communities.

Through the generosity of community support and our Auxiliary’s spirit, the Auxiliary has been able to purchase equipment for the medical center, to offer community education and preventive health programs for our Women’s Health Center and to fund other requests that enhance patient care at the medical center. The most recent donation from the Auxiliary is the beautiful stained glass window that is placed in our new Chapel. This chapel is dedicated to the memory of our former administrator, Earl Steinhoff. In addition, the Auxiliary also donates two nursing scholarships at $1,000.00 each.

Upcoming PMC Auxiliary Events

The Auxiliary donates thousands of volunteer hours, undertakes numerous fundraising activities and provides the important role of staffing The Shoppe @ PMC, the hospital gift shop, which donates all proceeds to Prowers Medical Center.

Prowers Medical Center’s Auxiliary has changed a lot over the last fifty years, but one thing hasn’t - our commitment to meet the growing health care needs in Southeast Colorado by raising community support.

Becoming involved with our Auxiliary is your opportunity to play an active role in improving the lives of all who call our area home. Members meet every Monday from 8:30am –11:30am. If you are interested in cooking, sewing, crafting, quilting and embroidery, or would like to volunteer your time, please contact Patsy Cox at 719-336-7250.
